There are two giving options to choose when designating your offerings:
The Ministry Fund is the general operating fund of Ridge Point ministries. Reach lost and hurting people when you help open the doors, where worship and learning experiences change lives in our community and abroad. Ten percent of these resources are used to support mission work locally and around the world. The Love Fund is also resourced here.
The Building Fund is our designated fund utilized to expand our facility and make it available to the community to write more and more stories of hope, renewal and growth.
Cash - If you are giving cash and would like a tax deductible receipt at the end of the year, please use a Ridge Point Offering Envelope. Envelopes are available at the Welcome Centers throughout the building.
Check - When writing a check, it is not necessary to use an Offering Envelope. We record your gift using the name and address on the check, unless your information is already in our computer system. Any check received with the memo line left blank will automatically be allocated to the Ministry Fund. If you would like your offering to go to the Building Fund, please note that on the memo line.
Offering Envelopes were created in response to requests from those who appreciate the tradition of giving their offerings in envelopes each weekend. You do not have to list the amount enclosed, unless you want it divided between the two funds.
Automatic Contribution - Enjoy knowing you are giving faithfully without having to remember your checkbook each weekend. Ridge Point will debit your checking or savings account weekly or monthly for the amount you designate. You can give automatically to the Ministry and Building Funds. Enrollment Forms are available at the Welcome Centers or the Business Office.
Bill Pay - Many Ridge Pointers set up Ridge Point Church in their bill payment accounts through their local banking institution. This allows you to be in complete control of how often money is mailed to Ridge Point, on what day and in what amount. You can set this up online, through your banking institution’s web site or call them for more information.
Stock Gifts - Donate stock that’s appreciated in value. This is a win-win, tax wise move. You won’t have to pay capital gain taxes on the profits, and the full value of the stock can be deducted as a charitable donation to Ridge Point. Please consult with your financial advisor and contact our Business Office to complete the gift transfer.
Corporate Gifts - Does your company offer Corporate Matching Programs? Do you have input on which non-profit institutions receive money when your employer has a profitable year? If so, please consider Ridge Point Church when these opportunities arise.
Meijer Rewards - Do you ever shop at Meijer? The Meijer rewards program gives money to non-profit organizations based upon the amount of monthly purchases by those who support that organization. You can either sign up in the store or go to www.meijer.com/rewards and use 801922 as the Ridge Point code number. Each time you make a purchase at Meijer, just scan your rewards card, and Ridge Point receives a check designated to the Building Fund.
We are the managers of the assets God has entrusted - not given - to us.
Watch what happens when you reallocate your money from temporal things to eternal things.
We are citizens of “a better country - a heavenly one” (Hebrews 11:16)
From the dot - our present life on earth -extends a line that goes on forever, which is eternity in heaven.
Giving is joyful surrender to a great person and a great agenda. It dethrones me and exalts Him.
God gives us more money than we need so we can give - generously.
