My Teenager

Good Evening,

My wife and I have been attending Ridge Point about 1-1/2 years now. My son splits time between our home and my ex-wife. He does not have a relationship with God and questions whether he exists at all. He also professes to be homosexual and most recently been caught using drugs.

As you can imagine no parent wishes these things for thier children and my wife and I could use some additonal prayers for all the members of our family as we try to move forward from these set backs.

Any encouragement and prayers would be appreciated.

Blessings....

Teen

Jeff, thank you for finding your way to this prayer forum, and having the trust and courage to post your concerns here. You can be certain that many people will be praying for you and your wife, your son and his mother in this time! Right now I am so hoping that you were able to attend one of the weekend services this week, and filled out one of the cards for the elders to be praying for you in the days ahead, as well. If you weren't able to attend a service this weekend, with it's message of Hope, please check this website under messages/archives around midweek, to find the audio and video formats to listen to and/or watch. Hold tight to the promise in James, that God WILL give wisdom to those who ask Him for it, and to the fact that God loves your son even more than you do! Also, please don't hesitate to contact the Care and Support office at church to find out what resources are available to you through RidgePoint. I've already prayed for God to reveal Himself to your son in very meaningful ways, to bring godly teens to befriend him, and to gently draw your son into a relationship with Him that will help him to make wiser choices. And I'm praying for peace for you as you move forward in God's grace and wisdom, to be the parent that your son needs as he struggles through these teen years that can be so very difficult to navigate. Please keep us posted as you are able! thank you!
