My mother is back in the hospital. This time she has a staph infection in a wound that has been open for several months. The wound was the result of a previous surgery that removed a portion of vein to bypass the blockage in her femoral artery in the other leg. Complicating things is her diabetes. The diabetes causes poor circulation in her legs. To make matters worse, they have found a blockage in the leg with the wound. They have to clear the infection before doing the bypass surgery, but the wound doesn't have much blood supply which makes clearing the infection that much more difficult. We are unsure if she will be hospitalized, sent to a short term nursing home, or released to clear the infection. Please prey for healing for my mom and for strength for my sister. Mom lives with her and her husband in Florida.
